You can have either the Marketo integration or the Salesforce integration connected. You cannot connect them both at the same time.
Does the LeadGenius CRM integration work with all versions of Marketo?
Yes, however LeadGenius does not support the Marketo ABM add-on. You will also need to create an API role and user in Marketo. The API user in Marketo is the one you will use to connect to LeadGenius.
How do I create an API role in Marketo?
You can skip this if you already have an API role created in Marketo. You will need admin access to Marketo, or have your Marketo administrator complete these steps for you.
- From Admin, click on Users & Roles
- Click on the Roles tab
- Select New Role
- Enter a Role Name (such as "API Only" Role)
- Select the Access API Permissions

- Switch to the Users tab
- Click the Invite New User button
- Enter LeadGenius in the First Name
- Enter API User in the Last Name
- Enter the email address in the Email Address (Example: firstname.lastname@example.org)
- Check API Role (all workspaces) in the Roles and Workspaces
- Check the API Only
- Click Invite button
How do I set up Marketo integration?
First, you will need the Munchkin ID, Client ID, and Client Secret to connect to LeadGenius.
Where do I find the Munchkin Account ID, Client ID, and Client Secret?
You will need admin access to Marketo, or have your Marketo administrator complete these steps for you.
- From Admin, click on Integration | Munchkin. You will find the Munchkin Account ID shown there. Copy and save that information.
- Then, click on Integration | LaunchPoint and click View Details on the API user you would like to connect to LeadGenius. The Client ID and Client Secret will be displayed. Again, copy and save this information.
After you have completed the above steps, you can activate the Marketo integration by visiting the Integrations page on the LeadGenius Dashboard, and clicking the Add Integration button for Marketo.
An connection screen will come up, where you can enter your Munchkin ID, Client ID, and Client Secret.
After you click Connect Marketo, you will be brought to the mapping screen, where you will confirm the mapping of each LeadGenius field to a corresponding Marketo lead field. LeadGenius data will always be exported to Marketo as leads.

When should I export data from LeadGenius to Marketo?
You should export data from LeadGenius to Marketo if you want to create new leads, or update leads that you have imported for enrichment.
You should avoid exporting data using the integration that you have already imported to your CRM manually, as this may create duplicate records in your CRM.
Does the import happen automatically?
Yes, LeadGenius automatically imports leads from Marketo every 12 hours.
Does the export happen automatically?
No, records from LeadGenius get exported to Marketo only when you choose to export via the Segment Overview.

Is any data overwritten?
Data exported from Net-New segments will create new records. Data exported from Enrichment segments will update existing records if the records were imported from Marketo for enrichment. If you have uploaded a list from a CSV for enrichment, that data will be exported as new records to Marketo.
How secure is my Marketo data?
We will never share your CRM data, nor will it be reused for any purpose.
You may revoke access to Marketo at any time by clicking Disconnect. We maintain security practices sufficient for enterprise and Fortune 500 companies.
What data from my Marketo will LeadGenius have access to?
LeadGenius will access existing leads from within the last 2 years.
What leads can I choose to exclude?
The last 2 years worth of leads in your Marketo will be imported for exclusions.
How much does this cost?
Nothing. It's included in your regular LeadGenius subscription.

We make 2 API calls for every 300 leads imported from Marketo. 2 API calls are used per lead when exporting to Marketo.
