CSV Enrichment is where you can upload a CSV, and LeadGenius will update your existing data. You can choose whether you would like us to add new contacts or not. CSV Enrichment can be used with company data, contact data, or both company and contact data.
Please refer to CRM Report Enrichment for information on how to enrich your Salesforce data.
What information should my CSV contain?
Your CSV should contain the data that you would like us to enrich, as well as any data that you might like us to see (for context, to assist in enrichment). You will be able to define which fields you want us to enrich, enrichment rules, and field mapping as part of the segment creation process, which we will explain below.
How to Create a New CSV Enrichment Segment
- Click on the Enrich CSV button, and upload your CSV.
Uploaded files MUST be in CSV format. Other formats will not be accepted.
- After uploading your CSV, you will be able to choose which fields in your CSV you would like us to enrich, choose enrichment rules for those fields, and map the fields in your CSV to LeadGenius fields. Fields that you have not selected for enrichment will be uploaded as read-only fields, so we will not be able to edit them. When you're finished, click Next.
- Enrichment Rules:
- Always Enrich
- We will always enrich the field.
- Only if Blank
- We will only enrich the field if it is blank.
- Always Enrich
- Enrichment Rules:
- After you've mapped your CSV fields and set the enrichment rules, you will choose whether or not you would like us to add new contacts to your enrichment segment. When you're finished, click Next.
- If you don't want us to add new contacts, set Number of Contacts to 0, and click Next.
- If you want us to add new contacts, choose your contact criteria.
- Choose the seniority level and titles for your first priority.
- You cannot add more than 3 seniority levels or positions per priority. If you would like to add more seniority levels or positions, add another priority by clicking Add Another or Add Contact for custom titles.
- Next, you will see the Data Points page, where you can choose to add any of our other available data points to your segment, or you can add and define custom fields. When you're finished, click Next.
- For custom fields:
- Give your custom field a name and description.
- Choose whether the field is for contacts or for companies.
- Choose whether or not to use custom values. If you choose to add custom values, you will need to define them here.
- For custom fields:
- Review your segment criteria. On the Review screen, you will be shown the criteria you have selected for your segment, as well as the fields that will be used.
- If you find you have made a mistake, you can click the Previous button to navigate to the appropriate screen, where you can make changes.
- If you have made a mistake on naming the segment, or on the description, you can click on Edit to edit these from the Review screen.
- If everything looks OK, click Next to finish creating your new segment.
